Mrs. Ament was the former owner/operator of Palmer Fish Camp in Eufala, AL and Ye Olde Lodge Restaurant in Plymoth, NC. She loved quilting, cooking, gardening, antique dealing, and Vintage button collecting and has a secret BBQ recipe. She was also a member on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had lived in Decatur County, Georgia, for the past 21 years moving from Delray Beach, FL.
Mrs. Ament leaves daughters; Virginia Tew and Melinda P. Hull; 3 sisters, Eleanor Heard, Janice Hayes and Frances Alvarez; 3 grandchildren, Hillary Palmer, Jennifer D. Tew, and Kelly Waisnor-Tew; and 2 great-grandchildren, Asa Waisner-Tew and Lily Gallacher.
