PANHANDLE - V.L. Pratt, 74, a Panhandle resident since 1940, died Sunday morning in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Panhandle Assembly of God Church, of which Mr. Pratt was a member. The Rev. R.V. Hamilton, pastor, and the Rev. E. R. Foster, of the Amarillo Assembly of God Church will officiate.

Burial will be in the Panhandle Cemetery by Poston Funeral Home.

Mr. Pratt, who was born in Terrell, was a veteran of World War I, and served in France.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Mrs. Velma Davis of 2406 N. Dahlia in Amarillo; sons, Arlie of 2102 N. Heather in Amarillo, and Sammy and Glenn of Panhandle; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Via of Woodward, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and one great-child.
