Orta Jane Stewart was the daughter of David Culbert Stewart and America Savannah (Sevanah) Collins Stewart. Orta Jane's death certificate named her mother as Sevanah Collins.

Orta Jane married Samuel Rector Stephens of Posey, Indiana. The 9 children of this marriage were:

There seems to be no marker for her grave, although it is described as being in Section W, Blk 524 - 1. Her name appears to be misspelled in the record book. The book has her name listed as Olia Jane Stephens, with the number 8567 next to it.
