Brenneman, Christian S., son of Joseph and Lydia (Steinmann) Brenneman, was born in Wilmot Twp., Ont., Dec. 25, 1898; died suddenly at his home in New Hamburg, Ont., Dec. 27, 1963; aged 65 y. 2 d. On Dec. 31, 1943, he was married to Reta Shantz, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons and 2 daughters (Ray, Walter, Helen, and Jean - Mrs. Delton Bowman), one brother (Joseph), 2 sisters (Violet - Mrs. Ralph Jantzi and Ruth - Mrs. Joseph Gingerich), and 5 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his first wife (the former Edna Leichty), a daughter, 3 sisters, and one brother. He was a charter member of the Baden Church when the congregation was formed in 1945. Funeral services were held at the Steinman Church, Dec. 30, with David Groh and Urie A. Bender officiating.
