DOB: 1806
Place of Birth:
NC/TN/WV
I have both a maternal and paternal Stephenson lineage; also, I have a maternal Copley lineage - Either way, it matters not to me whether her father was a 'Stephenson' or a 'Copley', she's one of mine! ..in more than one way! .. Della 11-27-2009
Additions/corrections welcome .. Della 11-27-2009
NOTE: Especially for FAG Contributor "High Plains History" - As this is an ancestress of mine, unless you have written documentation as to what her maiden name was, please do not suggest otherwise. It was "handed down" to me orally that she was never told for certain the name of her father and was known by both names - was she a Stephenson or a Copley? She herself would probably like to know FOR CERTAIN!! .. and so would I!! Does anyone have an ORIGINAL written BIRTH record for her? .. Della 11-20-2021

---Suggested Edit: Hi. Would you read "Maiden Name" section of Find A Grave's naming convention and reconsider the Maiden Name field entry?
https://support.findagrave.com/s/article/Naming-Memorials#memname
"Maiden name of a married individual, if known (otherwise leave blank); ...."
Since you're not sure which name is correct, the maiden name isn't *known".
Thank you.

"Thank You", High ........, for providing to me the above-noted data - I have read "IT" and, being well trained in the use of the 'King's English', I do understand - her maiden name was known to me (whether or not it was correct, and, of course, I have to ask, correct by whose standards, yours, mine, etc.) - Stephenson-Copley was the maiden name she used - why do you personally feel I should not use it? - sorry that it appears to upset you "seniors" of today when we millennials "do things our way" and choose transparency whereas you seniors seem to prefer to stay "hidden" or "sneaking" (the word I prefer to use for those who prefer to function as you seniors do), i.e., using different names in business dealings, hiding "skeletons in their closets", etc., etc., or, using, as you do as a FAG Contributor, different names - too bad you seniors can't seem to "catch up" with us 'millenns' - as the songwriter wrote, "let it be, let it be......." - - please enjoy what's left of your life and, using a phrase apparently coined by you seniors, "don't sweat the small stuff" as doing so is so detrimental to both your emotional and physical health .. Happy Thanksgiving and many very special Blessings to you and yours, Della 11-21-2021
