She was the daughter of the late Wade H. Darnell and the late Kate Hutchins Darnell. She was a member of Wesley Grove United Methodist Church. She was the owner/operator of The Gingerbread House Daycare. She was predeceased by her husband, Lever Morris; son Ray Morris; daughter Kaye Hay; five sisters Anna Barnes, Nancy Barnes, Peggy Hughes, Vera Edwards and Margaret Darnell and two brothers, Cecil Darnell and Billy Darnell.
Survivors include two granddaughters Shayla Ashe of Orangeburg and Mykala Ashe of Orangeburg; a sister Linda (Joe) Worrell of Orangeburg; a brother, Grady Darnell of Bowman; a special nephew Will Parnell of Cope and a son-in-law Glenn Ashe Jr. of Orangeburg.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
