He was a Baptist and enjoyed fishing, camping, feeding birds and squirrels, and spending time with his family and friends.
Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh "Hotshot" and Verdie Reynolds Lutner; and by a sister, Betty Louise Lutner.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Lutner of Lake City; two sons, Lee Lutner and wife, Myra, of Heiskell, and Michael Lutner and wife, Teresa, of Oak Ridge; his daughter, Barbara Ann Warwick and husband, Jackie, of Andersonville; two stepsons, Gerald Nelson and wife, Karen, and Dale Nelson, all of Andersonville; stepdaughter, Maria Greenman, also of Andersonville; four grandchildren, Cody, Marissa, and Emily Lutner, and Jessica Poland; four stepgrandchildren, Josh Greenman, Jamie Byrge, Jessica Nelson, and David Nelson; stepgreat-grandchild, Madison "Pumkin" Byrge; and many special friends from Anderson County Park.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, in the chapel of Hatmaker Funeral Home in Lake City with the Rev. Paul Hatmaker and the Rev. Gerald Hatmaker officiating.
The graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
