Catha Camilla Wise, 63, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at Sandpiper Courtyard Assisted Living in Mount Pleasant.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. John Burley officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Timothy D. Wise, David O. Wise, John Gaskin, Ashley Reid and Joseph B. Traywick III.
She was born Dec. 8, 1940, in Orangeburg, the daughter of the late Dewey Peele Wise and the late Gussie Earley Wise. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Mount Pleasant. She was a graduate of Orangeburg High School, attended Winthrop College and was graduated from the University of South Carolina, with a BA degree in journalism. She was retired from the Chamber of Commerce in Spartanburg.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Faulk of Charleston and Mrs. Joe (Beth) Hunsaker of Charlotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Anna, Jordan, Garrett and Kassidy Hunsaker, all of Charlotte; one brother, Thomas Dewey Wise of Charleston; one sister, Donna Elaine Traywick of Spartanburg; six nieces and nephews; her favorite dog, Bailey; a stepsister, JoAnn Osborne of Lexington; and a step-brother, Harry Webster of St. Matthews.
