EWING -
Emily Maroshek Atchley, 88, died Monday in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Plainfield, she was a longtime resident of Ewing and a resident of Lambertville for 46 years before returning to Ewing three years ago.
She retired as an executive secretary in 1982 from the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury after 17 years of service.
Mrs. Atchley was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Lambertville Elks B.P.O.E. #1070. She also was a member of the West Amwell Wonders Senior Citizens Club and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Lambertville for many years.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Susanna Volko Maroshek and mother of the late Ann Polinski, she is survived by her husband David Atchley; a daughter and her husband; a son and his wife of New Egypt; a son-in-law of Toms River; seven grandchildren; and 18 great- grandchildren.
Emily's Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville, with the clergy of the Church of St. Ann officiating.
Entombment will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of St. Ann, Faith Development Center, 1253 Lawrence Road, Lawrenceville NJ 08648.
