OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Edith Marie Anderson, 95, a resident of Millers Merry Manor East, Wabash, died Tuesday, June 9, 1998 at Millers. She previously lived at 2275N 400W Wabash.

She was born Sept. 10, 1902 at Huntington, IN to George and Edith (Brahs) Endress.

She married Joseph S. Anderson on July 16, 1923 in Wabash, IN; he died March 23, 1977. She was a member of the St. Matthews United Church of Christ and a member of the Deborah Circle of the church. She was also a member of the Rangeline Home Extension Club and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wabash Chapter.

Survivors include two daughters - Mrs. Russell (Jo Ann) Hapner of Wabash and Mrs. Robert (Mary Jean) Wendel of South Whitley; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Funeral service was held Friday, June 12, 1998 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Ave. Chapel, with Pastor Richard Rensner officiating. Burial was in Falls Cemetery of Wabash. Preferred memorials are to the St. Matthews United Church of Christ.
