INJURIES PROVE FATAL TO WOMAN
Ogden traffic accidents chalked up another victim Tuesday when H. Drusilla Eardley, 77, 523 Twenty-second died in a local hospital of injuries received about nine weeks ago when she was struck by an automobile and dragged 60 feet.

The accident occurred at Twenty-second and Washington Oct. 1, during a heavy rainstorm. Driver of the fatal auto, Clifford W. Johnson, 43, of 2163 Quincy, told officers he was making a left turn onto Twenty-second street and did not see the pedestrian because of reduced visibility. Miss Eardley suffered a fracture pelvic bone, face lacerations and bruises. Johnson subsequently was booked for investigation, but no charges were filed according to a police report.

Miss Eardley was born May 5, 1870, in St. George, a daughter of John and Ann Cross Eardley. She received her early education in St. George. She later moved to Beaver where she operated a dressmaking establishment for eight years. She had resided in Idaho Falls, Ida., eight years and 12 years ago settled in Ogden, and engaged in tailoring.

She was a member of the LDS Fourth Ward. Surviving are a brother, John Eardley, Delta. The body is at the mortuary, 533 Twenty-sixth.
