Naomi was the daughter of William "Henry" Hoeg (1820-1901) and Mary Maria Duff (1820-1909). She married Asa A. Schofield on 24 Aug 1872 in Parrsboro, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Mrs. Naomi Jane Schofield, who resided with her daughter, Mrs. Emma Dee Vee Kingsley, at 3 Fort Sewall terrace, died last Wednesday. At the time of her demise she was 94 years old, and was generally considered the oldest resident of the town.

She was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Duff) Hoeg. She is survived by two sons, Henry W. and Arthur E., both of Marblehead, as well as by her daughter, Mrs. Kingsley. She also leaves four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the George Nichols funeral home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Committal will be at Harbor View cemetery.
