Dwight Spaulding, 86, one of East Norwak's best known residents, died last evening at his home on Seaview Avenue after a lingering illness. Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Edwin Robertson of Seaview Avenue; a son, Frank E. Spaulding of West Haven; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Williams and Mrs. Fred Stark of Lebanon, CT, two grandchildren, Miss Katherine Spaulding of West Haven and Frank Spaulding, Jr. of Milford as well as several nieces and nephews.

The departed was a native of Monson, Mass. He came to this city to operate a feed mill for the Hatch and Bailey Company here, being employed there until his retirement at the age of 77. He was a member of the Butler Lodge, IOOF and of the South Norwalk Congregational Church. Last year, Mr. Spaulding attended the Tercentenary services in Lebanon where as a guest of the DAR a paper that he had prepared on his [illegible] in Lebanon was read.
