James Wesley Ryals - a 90 year-old native of Conecuh County and resident of Mobile died at his home on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Mr. Ryals retired from American National Insurance Company after 29 years of service and was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. A caring husband, father, and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Marian F. Ryals; daughter, Daisy Mills (James M.) of Chicora, MS; son, James W. Ryals, Jr. (Carolyn) of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Stephanie Knight (Michael) of Waynesboro, MS, Russell W. Mills (Caroline) of Dallas, TX, and Dawn Carson (Tony) of Raleigh; four great-grandchildren, Casey and Erin Knight, Andy Mattiace, and Izaak Carson; two brothers, Alton Ryals and Allen Ryals; sister, Vera Richburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the Mausoleum of Mobile Memorial Gardens on Friday, November 27, 2009, beginning at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 205 Lambert Ave., Mobile, AL 36604.
