Mrs. Slater was born in Toombs County and attended school in Oak Park. She was a graduate of Oak Park High Class of 1961.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Edward and Clyde Byrd Mosley; brother, James Edward Mosley, Sr.; and sister, Adrienne Lynn.
She was a retired owner/operator of Tomaco, Vidalia, and attended Pendleton Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna and Jim Phillips of Dublin, Cynthia and Ricky Reese of Soperton; sister, Glenda Simmons of Vidalia; grandchildren, Kate Reese, Ashley Ramirez, Andrea Crowley; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 28th with the Rev. George Grimes officiating. Burial will be in Waters Cemetery, Emanuel County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday November 27th from 6 to 8 p.m and may be reached at the home of Ricky and Cynthia Reese, 1310 Pineland Circle, Soperton.
