Albert Nathan Eaton is the oldest son of Edwin Albert and Laura Ellen Hoot Eaton. He was born Jan. 22, 1886 at Kill Creek, Kansas.

The Eaton family came to Kansas in 1881. Albert's grandfather (Nathan Eaton) came from Emerson, Iowa in the winter of 1880, bought a farm, 240 acres in Osborne County, then brought the family, with 15 children, to Kansas in the spring of 1881. The journey took 2 weeks in two covered wagons.

Of his 15 siblings, four died in infancy.

He married Miss Sarah Angeline Miller on July 24, 1907 at Portis. Albert worked odd jobs from 1907 till 1913, at which time he began working for the railroad as a section laborer. He made engine watchman 1926 and retired in 1951.

He and Sarah had eleven children. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons: Edwin James Eaton and Henry Abner Eaton.

He is survived by nine children: Laura Jane Oltman, Elizabeth Naomi Remmert, Paul Burton Eaton, Claudine Joy Williams, Mary Margaret Koel, Ralph Nathan Eaton, Delores Maxine Geisler, Allie Leah Reynolds and James Delano Eaton, 51 grandchildren, 124 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
