Mrs. Hazel Bess Andrews

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Bess Andrews, 61, of Houlka were held Monday, Aug. 25, at the Houlka Baptist Church with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Capleman and the Rev. Arthur Leslie officiating.

Mrs. Andrews died Sunday, Aug. 24 at Houston Medical Center in Houston.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Chickasaw County, the daughter of Alexander Smith Kilby and Mrs. Julia Reed Kilby.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Andrews of Houlka; a daughter, Mrs. Hazeland Childress of Verona; a son, Royce Henry Andrews of Houlka; a brother, Holbart Kilby of Columbus and two grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Wayne Buchanan, Jake Hancock, James Chrestman, William Ray Andrews, Webb Collums, Jr., and Richard Chrestman. James Hardin was alternate pallbearer.

The Houlka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
