Mr. Martin was a deacon for 50 plus years and was chairman of Social Springs Cemetery for many years. His love extended to his church and friends.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Edward B. Martin and Evalee Martin; seven brothers. He is survived by his wife, Irene Martin; two daughters, Patricia Bojako and her husband John, Janet Guice and her husband Danny; two grandchildren, Kevin Guice and his wife, Kim and Amber Lynn Carmouche and husband Cody; one great-granddaughter, Emma Guice and one step great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Carmouche; one sister Thelma Simich of LaFeria, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Gregory Bell, Dr. Gavin Chico, community Rehabilitation Hospital of Coushatta Health Care System, and everyone at Green Meadow Haven for their care to him and his family.
