David A. Taubenhaus, 73, died May 5, 2000.
A resident of Houston, he served in the Naval Medical Corps during WWII, was elected President of the South Texas College of Law 1951 graduating class, and was a member of the Houston and Texas State Bar Associations. Mr. Taubenhaus was a lawyer and developer of apartment houses and office buildings, and served on the Board of Directors of Bank of North America and various building associations.
He was a member of Congregation Adath Emeth and was a recipient of meritorious award in recognition for his outstanding devotion and self-sacrifice for the cause of Jewish education from the Houston Hebrew Academy.
He was married to the former Sherry Virginia Benn.
He is survived by a nephew, Dr. Martin J. Wiesenthal of San Antonio, Texas, and a niece, Ruth Ann Wiesenthal Gold of Weston, CT.
Graveside services will be held at 5:30 p.m., 7th, May, 2000, at Adath Emeth Cemetery, Airline and Sylvester.
