Boonville Daily News (MO) - Friday, April 13, 2007:

Clara B. 'Tooter' Knipp, 77, of Tipton, Mo., died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Tipton with Fr. Henry Reichert officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Knipp, Brett Knipp, Greg Adkins, Kasey Kirby, Cole Knipp, Grant Kempker, Ayrton Gennetten, Hayden Knipp and David Ruhr. There will be a rosary service at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at St. Andrew's Church, with visitation to follow and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Funeral arrangements are by Meisenheimer Funeral Home of Tipton.

Mrs. Knipp was born Aug. 15, 1929, in Blackwater, Mo., the daughter of Louis and Sophia Schmidt Imhoff. On March 1, 1949, she married Melvin Knipp in Tipton, who survives of the home.

She was a member of St. Andrew's Church, Altar Society and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She worked at the pants factory in Tipton for many years, at Dala's Bridal Boutique and as a cook at the Tipton Nutrition Center for 15 years. She kept busy on the farm and raised a big garden each year.

She is survived by two sons: Roy Knipp and Jeff Knipp, both of Tipton; two daughters: Nancy Kirby of Tipton and Sherri Gennetten of Versailles, Mo.; two brothers: John Imhoff of Blackwater and Louis Imhoff of Seattle, Wash.; three sisters: Bertha Gerling of Blackwater, Anna Mae Bentlage of Jefferson City and Mary Helen Schuster of Nevada, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Frank Imhoff, Pat Imhoff and an infant brother; and a sister, Margaret Class.
