The Harmony Grove Cemetery was purchased by a developer around 1960. The site had been neglected and was going to be bulldozed under. A court order stopped the development and the property went back to the county. In 1965 a private association assumed ownership, cleaned up the cemetery and maintains it to this day. The cemetery records lost volume one to a fire in 1900. The association has researched all the grave sites, an ongoing process, and identified most all of them.
The Haley plot is identified although there are no headstones at all. The records clearly show several individuals buried there:
Gabriel Haley and his wife Delila Jane Minter with their children John Benjamin and Gardner C. Haley. Gardner's wife Mary Francis Tindell (this differs from your spelling of Tinnell) and their children James, Joseph, John, and Delila.
The Haleys were harness makers and had a shop in Lockeford. You may contact the association by calling 209-747-7988. The president is Gary Gorden. The historian for the cemetery is Alaina Young. Her phone number is 209-747-3979. You can double check my information with her. You should check my information since it all came from an oral conversations with Mr. Gorden. While at the cemetery I noticed several graves that were marked with a headstone and the name Haley. These may be related to you. I took several photos of Haley headstones as well as of the bare Haley plot, the church, and the adjoining plots of Tindell and Beckman.
I will send these to you separately.
