A serious accident occurred at White Pine, on the North Carolina division of the East Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia railroad, on Friday, which resulted in the death of a most estimable lady, wife of Rev. J. B. McNeal. She was riding in a buggy when the horse became frightened and ran away. The occupants were thrown out, injuring Mr. Carson slightly and Mrs. McNeal fatally. There was little if any hope for her recovery from the start, and she died at 10 o'clock yesterday. She leaves a large circle of friends to mourn her untimely death.
