Elsie, like the rest of her sisters, learned the work ethic early in life. She worked in Silk Mill as a girl. Survived Polio in her adolescent years. Also suffered from Bell's Palsy, the after effects of which left her with a slightly crooked smile which was usually only noticeable in her reflected image in a mirror.Her father ( Claude Albert Dent) died when she was 11 years old. Elsie died of a stroke and slipped away with her son Ron and daughter Eleanor Mellring at her bed-side in Sisters of Mercy Hospital emergency room..
