CHILDRESS - Merle Marie Glass Hill, 78, formerly of Childress, died Monday, July 10, 2000, in Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Johnson of San Augustine and the Rev. Jon Crosby of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Kirkland Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hill was born in Greenwood. She was a longtime Childress resident before moving to Wichita Falls. She had been a restaurant owner and operator. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She married Sam R. "Bill" Hill in 1946 at Enid, Okla. He died in 1985.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Bragg of Amarillo and Pat Bragg and Becky Young, both of Wichita Falls; a son, Ricky Dale Hill of Amarillo; a sister, June Johnson of Iowa; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
