"Claude was a printer by trade and had worked for several years at the Leader office. His health failed him about 15 months ago, but recovering to a degree, he felt able to return to work. He was employed in the Sentinal office. He took sick again December 10, from which he slowly declined to his death.

He was a young man of promising worth and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church and services were conducted by Rev D K Campbell and were very impressive".
