She remarried on 25 August 1987 to Mr. Louis John Bubb. Theirs was a short but loving marriage ending with his death of cancer 1993.She missed him greatly. A poem she liked said it all:

They use to tell each other they were going to meet under the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge where they use to walk together.
She worked as a proctor with the city of New York for years until she retired.She worked for the board of Elections for years. She died after a short illness 22 Oct 2008.
She was a caring person, she enjoyed dancing and Bingo.She loved to crochet and knit, especially childrens sweaters for her senior group and family members.She belong to St. Anselm's chruch, and 2 senior groups where she left many friends. She enjoyed bragging about all her grandchildren.She enjoyed her life to the fullest. She is missed dearly. I love and miss you mom.∼VAN METER, ADRIANE
