Gospel preacher. He spoke on the 8th Annual Bible Lectureship at Freed-Hardeman University in Jan. 1944.

"Gardner S. Hall was born May 24, 1906, in Hall's Valley, five miles northeast of Trion, Ga. He is the son of Flavil Hall, a well-known gospel preacher. Gardner S. was reared on the farm, and learned the value of honest toil and economy. His mother passed away when he was but six years of age. His grandmother took the place of his mother and helped in his training. She was a devout Christian and loved God's word. Each evening she gathered the children about her and spent hours reading the Bible to them. She would have the children who were old enough to read with her. They read the New Testament through several times. Brother Hall grew up under the influence of a devotional and pious home influence. Brother Hall spent three years in college -- two years in David Lipscomb College and one year in Freed-Hardeman College. The excellent courses and Christian environment of those colleges had much to do in helping him as a preacher of the gospel. Brother Hall preached his first sermon in March, 1922, to a small congregation in Nashville, Tenn. He has done evangelistic work in many of the southern states and Michigan. He has been located with the following churches: Rome, Ga.; Anniston, Alabama City, and North Birmingham, Ala.; and West Hill Church, Pensacola, Fla. He is now located with the church at Tuscumbia, Ala." ---Bio in the Gospel Advocate, Feb. 6, 1941, 138.
