The death of Mr. Henry Kidder, on Sunday night last, has thrown a gloom over this community such as it has not known for many years. As a citizen and a man he occupied a warm place in the hearts of all. Young and old, rich and poor, aline knew him only to respect and esteem him. His all-prevading friendliness, and hearty good-will toward all, gave him a ready passport to the hearts of all with whom he came in contact. The funeral cortege from his home to the church on Tuesday, of nearly one half mile in length, was a fitting expression of the general regard in which he was held.
