THOMASVILLE, N.C. - Mrs. Linda Mills Wentworth, 58, died Monday Nov 5, 2007.
She was born July 19, 1949, a daughter of the late Jesse Mills and Flora Jane Jacobs Mills. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School and the Presbyterian School Of Nursing. Mrs. Wentworth was a registered nurse with 37 years of service. She was a pediatric nurse working with High Point Regional, Children's Hospital of Kings Daughter in
Norfolk, Va., Moses H. Cone in Greensboro, N.C., Carroll County General in Westminster, MD and The Women's Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. She loved needle point, sewing and quilting. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Thomasville, N.C.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Lewis.
She was married Aug 23, 1970 to Robert Charles Wentworth who survives of the home. Also surviving are, One daughter, Sarah W. Davison and husband, Mark of Lutherville, MD; four sisters, Ruth Freeman and husband Bob of Salt Lake City, Gayle Davis and her husband, Larry of Cheraw, Julia Hendrick and her husband, Jeff of Columbia, and Sue Hagan and her husband, Jamie of Raleigh, N.C. and two grandchildren, Madeline and Jack Davison.
A funeral service will be held on (TODAY) Nov. 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Father Marvin Acock and Father Ken Khroohs officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. in Old Saint David's Episcopal Church cemetery in Cheraw, with Father Bill Oldland officiating. The family received friends Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, N.C. and at other times at the home.
