Two memorial funds have been established in memory of a 5-year-old Manzanola girl who died after she was involved in an accident Sunday while riding an off-road vehicle.

Funds have been established in memory of Cortney Williams at Colorado Bank and Trust in La Junta and Fowler State Bank in Fowler.

Williams is the daughter of Casey and Rebecca Williams of Manzanola.

The CB&T fund is sponsored by the Manzanola Fire Department and emergency medical technicians. The memorial fund will help with funeral expenses. The victim's father is a member of the Manzanola Fire Department.

The Fowler fund is sponsored by close family members to also help defray costs.

Williams died after sustaining injuries from the accident which also involved a 19-year-old female. The investigation into the accident continues.

Funeral services for Cortney Williams, 5, of Manzanola will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Manzanola Christian Church with the Rev. John Dell officiating. Members of the Manzanola firemen will serve as casket bearers and honorary escorts. Burial will follow in the Mountainview Cemetery.

She was born July 22, 1999, in Pueblo to Casey and Rebecca Bierman Williams.

She is survived by her parents, brother Blake, 2, grandparents Greg and Sandy Williams and Carl and Beverly Bierman, all of Manzanola; great-grandparents E.J. and Peggy Williams of Rocky Ford, Orma Stayskal of Crowley and Wendell and Mary Franklin of Boone; aunts Becky Bierman, Mandy Bierman and Jolene Bierman and uncle Doug Bierman, all of Manzanola; cousins Haidyn Williams and Beth and Gina Chaney of Manzanola.

She was preceded in death by great-grandparents Walter and Opal Noltin, Bud and Betty Zwick, Ted and Ileene Bierman and Frank Stayskal.
