Naomi Crabill
Naomi "Oma" CRABILL, 89, of 1631 Bancroft Ave., died in Logansport Memorial Hospital at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday. She had been in failing health since June.
She was born July 22, 1894 in Whitley County to William H. and Laura BROWN SPITLER. She lived in Kewanna for several years, and later wintered in Sebring, Fla. She was married April 3, 1915 in Whitley County to S. Judson CRABILL, who died April 24, 1961. She was a member of the former Community Church in Bruce Lake Station.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Lucile) BYERS, Roann; Mrs. Frank (Catherine) KOUGH, Logansport, and Mrs. George (Betty) WHITTEN, Deerfield, Ill.; two sons, Harrison CRABILL, Rochester, and Dr. Delmar CRABILL, Charleston, Ill.; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were three sisters, two brothers and a son, Joe [CRABILL], who died Dec. 3, 1969.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with the Revs. Paul A. GRANT and William A. MALONEY officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services.
