Mrs. Katie Lee Walker Grimes, age 82, died Wednesday, July 29 at Floy Dyer Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 30 at Houlka Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Crawford Ray officiating assisted by the Rev. J C Burks.

The daughter of the late William Emmett Walker and the late Lillie Arnold Nelson, she was a retired school teacher and merchant. She was born in Pontotoc County and had lived most of her life in Houlka. She was a member of Houlka United Methodist Church and was the widow of the late Howard Grimes.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Laudie W Johnson of Houston; five nieces, including Mrs. Etheline Blanton and Mrs. Edith Wright of Houston and two nephews.

Pallbearers were Mack Hinton, Buddy Buchanan, Ted Tallent, Allen Harris, Roy Johnson and Max Tallent.

Houlka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
