Nancy was born in Davey, West Virginia on August 9th, 1946, daughter of the late Charlie McNew and Denita Trent McNew. During her years of being active in her church, she was deeply honored and proud of her service as youth leader and that she sang in two gospel groups.
Nancy was survived by her husband of 15 years, Joe Reynolds; one daughter, Nancy M. Benton and one granddaughter, Courtney Rhea Benton of Nashville, Tennessee. She was born into a large family being the eighth child of eleven brothers and sisters. Frank McNew of Marlton, New Jersey, Rex A. McNew of Brandenburg, Kentucky, Randall McNew of Fanrock, West Virginia, Robert McNew of South Deerfield, Massachusetts, Hazel Potter of Princeton, West Virginia, Sylvia Joyce Caldwell of South Charleston, West Virginia, Bertha Puchalaski of Spencer, Massachusetts and Joan Fletcher of Kodak, Tennessee along with many other nephews, nieces and her many many friends. She is sadly and so greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Denita McNew; one son, James Mark Cochran and two brothers, John Charles McNew and Charles McNew Jr.
Visitations were held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23rd, 2009 in the Chapel of the Morris & Hislope Funeral Home in Science Hill, Kentucky.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at the Science Hill Cemetery with Bro. Earnest Reynolds and Chaplain David Green officiating.
Burial followed in the Science Hill Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
