The funeral cortège left the residence at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon for Mt. Vernon church, where services were held with Rev. James P. Eden officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Vernon cemetery.
Mr. Davis is survived by two sons, H. P. Davis, Baucomville; Henry Davis, Montgomery, La.; three daughters, Mrs. Naomi Stuckey, Jonesboro, La.; Mrs. Lillian Brady, Eros; Mrs. J. D. Richards, McComb, Miss.; one brother, Henderson Davis, Wesson, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Anna Bessonett, Brookhaven, Miss.; 17 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were D. L. Calhoun, Paul Crowell, M. L. Owens, Hansford Russell, T. T. Jones and Frank Ford.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Dixie Funeral Home.
