OPAL RAINS KING
Opal Rains King, 83, Harrodsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, widow of Elmer Franklin King, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.

Born Feb. 23, 1921 in Whitley County, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Susie Prewitt Rains.

She was a retired sales clerk. She was a member of Mercer Church of Christ.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Wayne (Susan) King of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Linda Susan (Doug) Myers of Columbia, SC; one brother, Roy Everett Rains of Knoxville, TN; three sisters, Cleda Ragle of Knoxville, TN, Jean West and Billie Rains, both of Versailles; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

The funeral was held Tuesday, July 20 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Williamsburg with Bro. Ernie Gill officiating. A graveside service was held Wednesday, July 21 at the Highland Cemetery in Williamsburg.
