"Aceal Brookover was in Huntington one day last week paying his respects to his aged and feeble mother. A duty that he or his brother Walter performs at an average of once every two weeks." [North Manchester Journal March 10, 1892]

"A G. and Aceal(sic) Brookover left Tuesday morning to visit an only brother of their father, an old gentleman nearly one hundred years old, and other relatives at Maysville, Kentucky, They will also visit the place of their birth near Aberdeen, Ohio, and will be absent two weeks or more." [North Manchester Journal January 29, 1891]

cause of death:"attack of lumbago;" this obituary states that he was also survived by a brother, G. W. Brookover, of Smithville, O. (Wabash Daily Plain Dealer; December 5, 1913)
