Sally Lou Bradley 78, of Decatur, passed away at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Burial will be in the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Mrs. Bradley was born June 29, 1931, the daughter of Glen and Marguerite (Gettum) Morrison. She was a 1953 graduate of Millikin University and a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She married Edwin Bennett "Sonny" Bradley Jr. in August of 1954. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1989. She had taught elementary education for many years in the Mt. Zion School District. She was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
She had served as a volunteer with the St. Mary's Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and with Catholic Charities. She was a member of the PEO. She had a great love for animals especially her Boston Terriers. She loved being with her family and cherished her many friendships. She enjoyed the beach and ocean and was an avid card player.
Surviving are her children: Gary of Decatur , Judy and her husband Peter of Springfield, Michael and his wife Ashley of Telluride, CO; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Sarah, Lauren, Bennett, and Morgan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Graham and Jeanette of Decatur. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son: Robert "Bobby", and sister: Beverly Rowan.
