Mrs. J M McKinney, Former Resident, Dies in Tennessee
Funeral rites were held Sunday, May 25, at Rhodes Chapel for Mrs. John M McKinney, mother of J W McKinney, of Houston. Mrs. McKinney died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. J H Havercamp, in Somerville, Tenn. She was 84 years old. Her pastor, from Somerville, conducted funeral services.
She leaves three sons, J W McKinney, of Houston; W T and Jack McKinney, of Arizona; two daughters, Mrs. J H Havercamp, of Summerville, Tenn., and Mrs. Charles Azwell, of Kentucky.
She was a native of Chickasaw County until the death of her husband. Since then she has made her home with her daughter, in Tennessee. She was united with the Methodist Church at an early age, and lived a full Christian life until her death.
