In memory of Capt. James Fitch.
Who in the relations of Domestics, military, civil and religous life supported an excellent character. For integrity and unfeigned piety as a Deacon in the Christian Chh. In his uncommon regard to the religon, institutions, & servants of Jesus. Especially in his extensive charity to the poor, he adorned the doctrine of God his Saviour. Lived universally beloved & died greatly lamented Feb 10th 1788. Aged 85
