Civil War. Co D, 14th Vermont Volunteer Infantry. Died Battle of Gettysburg. Jen Snoots has place a picture of the actual burial in Gettysburg PA. This is a cenotaph memorial. Has death as July 4 1863, Civil War records show "Mustered out on 03 Jul 1863 at Gettysburg, PA."
Suggested edit: Mr. and Mrs. Walker were parents of three sons. Albert A., their first son, was born May 26, 1849; he grew to manhood, and during the War of the Rebellion enlisted in Company D, Fourteenth Vermont Volunteers; in the battle of Gettysburg he was wounded on the night of July 3, while assisting a wounded comrade from the field, and died on the following day, July 4, 1863.
