Betty was born June 22, 1925 in Frederick, a daughter of Charles Edward and Alma E. Bussard Young and was the wife of Charles "Buck" Morris Kauffman of Mountaindale who predeceased Betty on October 20, 1972.
Charles and Betty lived on the Kauffman Home Farm with Charles brother Floyd. Their parents had left the farm to them jointly, located on the public road from Lewistown to Bethel, a tract of land called "Case Of Necessity".
Betty loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by these children Patricia "Patsy" Ann Fletcher of W.Va., Martha Jean "Jeannie" Young, of Frederick, Marie Cynthia Crouse and husband Randy of Frederick, Larry Byron Kauffman of Frederick, Gary Bryant Kauffman and wife Delores of Hagerstown, six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Betty was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Ann Woods and a sister, Thelma Moore.
She is survived by the following siblings, a sister, Dorothy Bailey and seven brothers, Edwin, Merhle, Paul, Grayson, Richard, Meredith and Marion Young.
Funeral held 11 AM Tuesday, Rev. Arthur C. Baugher Sr. officiating with internment at Mount Prospect Church Cemetery, Lewistown, Stauffer funeral directors.
