MADISON – Jessie Beal, 87, of Madison died Monday afternoon following an extended illness. She was born in Greene County, Dec. 14, 1888.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Apalachee Baptist Church. The Rev. Thomas Brown and the Rev. Darrel Gilmer will officiate. Burial will follow at Almand Cemetery, Apalachee.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Louise Griffith and Mrs. Maggie Sidwell of Madison, and one son, Herman Beal of Bishop.

The body will be at the funeral home, and the family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Griffith in Madison.

Sisk Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
