Anna Balko Beilchick, 81, of Heilwood, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. The daughter of Michael and Anna Fenchak Balko, she was born July 5, 1927, in Wehrum. She was an active member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alverda. Mrs. Beilchick was a secretary and bookkeeper for the family-owned business. She was a member of Heilwood American Legion Post 936 Auxiliary and Antique Automobile Club of America, Punxsutawney Region. Mrs. Beilchick was known as an exceptional cook and baker who will fondly be remembered for her pizza and dinner rolls. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul W. Beilchick whom she married June 17, 1946; four children: Ronald and wife Antionette, Heilwood, Jean Bence and husband Patrick, Clymer, Daniel and wife Patricia, Heilwood, and Christine King and husband Murray, Marion Center; seven grandchildren; siblings, James Balko and wife Mary Lee, Des Moines, Iowa, Mary Cassol and husband Primo, California, Margaret, married to the late Edward Beilchick, Northern Cambria, Helen Chappell and husband Robert, Homer City, Julie, married to the late Charles Petrof, Cleveland, Ohio, and Beatrice, married to the late Ronald Edwards, Johnstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Nancy Ann Beilchick, on Dec. 13, 1952; and three brothers, Michael, Charles and Andrew Balko.

Friends were received at the Rairigh Funeral Home Ltd., Hillsdale. Services were held Saturday at the Purchase Line Church of the Brethren, Clymer, with Pastors Richard T. Ebel and Robert Spencer officiating.

Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana.
