Mr. Walker, who was born in Henderson, Texas, died Saturday.
He graduated from the University of Alabama and received his master's degree from George Washington University.
He served in the Air Force for 27 years and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and other medals. He flew B-17s with the 305th Bomb Squadron from England during World War II. He retired as a lieutenant colonel.
Mr. Walker returned to Spokane when he retired and worked for the Boeing Co. and in the real estate industry.
He was a 30-year Spokane resident and was a member of the Daedalians Retired Officers Association, The Spokane Club, Manito Golf and Country Club and Sigma Nu fraternity. He was active with St. John's Cathedral and the Percussionaut Patriots.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Walker; two sons, Tabb Walker III of Boise and Andrew Walker of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Jane Gage of Beaverton, Ore., and Mary Catherine Walker of Portland; a sister, Corinne Moore of Perry, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
