Gustav Brandt, age 69 years, died in St. Elizabeth's Hospital yesterday afternoon after an illness there of three weeks. His home was in Wapato where he was proprietor of a hotel and owned considerable ranch property. He lived in the valley 22 years. Mr. Brandt was born in Germany. The family includes his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Brandt; eight children, Leo and Walter Brandt of Parker, Elma and Amandus Brandt of San Diego, Lois Brandt of Yakima, William Brandt of Redlands Cal., and Edward Brandt of Wapato; a sister Mrs. Mary Deiz of Wapato. Mr. Brandt was a member of Wapato Chamber of Commerce and of the Lutheran Church.
