I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave
Details: As you know this is an abandoned cemetery that sits alongside a gravel road on private property. The cemetery rests on about an acre of woodland. There are about 10 visible headstones and numerous smaller stones remaining. A neighbor who lives across the gravel road came out with his dog and we talked a while concerning the sad nature of the cemetery. He said about a year ago the prison brought some workers out and collected numerous headstones. He questioned what they were going to do with them and was told that they would clean the stones and return them. He thought then what I immediately thought and what you're likely thinking... how are they going to know where they go? They never returned the stones. Of the ones remaining, 4 are within a metal fence, 1 is a Lincoln's War Veteran, and the other 5 scattered here and there were not your William Henry. I walked the grounds for toppled stones as well. Sadly, William Henry's stone may have been removed. I see you requested this about 10 years ago, the picture you have posted is sitting in what appears to be a clearing. There are no clearings now. It's all overgrowth, toppled trees, thorns and animal holes.
