Dwight Moody Hunter of Benton died Wednesday, November 12, 1997. He was 87.

He was retired from Reynolds Metals Co. and was a WWII Army veteran.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Hunter of North Little Rock, Leon Hunter of California and Dwight P. Hunter of Malvern; one daughter, Emma Jean Laster of Benton; two brothers, Earl Hunter of Benton and W. L. Hunter of Tennessee: two sisters, Marie Spears of Texas and Ruth King of California: 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel in Benton with J.R. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Cemetery.

Scheduled to serve as pallbearers are Dwight Hunter, Raymond J. Hunter, William D. Hunter, Aaron Hunter, David Hunter, Steven Hunter, Vince Laster Jr., Scott Hunter, and Tommy Laster. Patrick Laster is scheduled to serve as honorary pallbearer.
