Born in Lancaster, Mr. Baker was a son of Julian Earl and Nan Bell Baker, Sr. He was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church and was president of Sign Crafters.
Surviving are widow, Mrs. LaRue Ghent Baker; two sons, Julian E. Baker III and Lyle Baker, both of Lancaster; parents of Lancaster; two brothers, David Baker and Mark Baker both of Lancaster; and two sisters, Mrs. Mickey (Maureen) Plyler and Ms. LuAnne Ellison, both of Columbia.
Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at The Chapel of Cauthen Funeral Home by the Rev. William Dysard.
