Mrs. Trotter, 81, Dies at Her Home in Early Morning

Mrs. Thursa Trotter, 81, died this morning shortly after midnight at 918 East Sixth North where she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. George Wicks. She had been ill for several weeks.
Mrs. Trotter celebrated her eighty-first birthday last Saturday. She was born Nov. 11, 1869, in Pennsylvania. She moved here as a girl and later married John Trotter at Newton. Mr. Trotter, now deceased, was a mason here.
Three sons and three daughters all of Newton, survive. They are Sam, Floyd and W. J. Trotter, Mrs. George Wicks, Mrs. Will Atwood and Mrs. Alfred Wilson. Five sons and two daughters preceded Mrs. Trotter in death. About 50 grandchildren also survive.
Services are pending, but they will be held in Newton with burial in Palo Alto Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thursa Trotter, 81, who died at her home here yesterday, will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock at Morgan Funeral Home.
Rev. F. D. Boldt of the First Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Mrs. Trotter was born in Pennsylvania on Oct, 11, 1869, came to Iowa at an early age and on March 12, 1886, she was married to John Trotter at Colfax. The couple moved to Newton later.
Mrs. Trotter is survived by six children, 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers at the services, David, Jack and Roland Trotter, Everett, Victor and Jack Atwood. Mrs. Lois Stanton will be the organist.
