Victorian church architect who worked on new buildings and carried out repair work. He trained under the English architect George Edmund Street and was influenced by John Ruskin and William Morris. In 1865 he joined his brothers architect practice in Penzance, Cornwall. When his brother died, he left for Bristol and later moved to London to set up his own pratice in Oxford Street. Among his works were, Holy Trinity Sloane Street and the Church of the Holy Redeemer, both in London. He was fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects and member of The Art Workers Guild.
